The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 崔岷植就是电影质量的保证。说他是韩国的周润发，其实他很少拍太娱乐的电影，不像周润发连《澳门风云》系列都拍。。。这部电影剧情还不错，煽情的地方有点儿夸张做作，其它都还好，最厉害就是那段弹钢琴，太精彩了，居然弹起了兀。。。
在《闻香识女人》的框架里塞入了，韩国教育体制问题，贫富分化，教育资源的分配不公，南北韩的传统议题……但剧本编的太过神奇，让人无法相信。

导演编剧引入这位外来者显然是要批评反思韩国当前的应试教育，崔岷植饰演的数学家在黑板上书写公式，用圆周率演奏钢琴的那种表情状态太让人羡慕了。反而南韩的老师却在教育小孩去揣摩出题人的想法，一味去追求「正确答案」。
