The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 典型的港式温情。
劇情安排上張力不足，難以喚起眾人的感動，我想這套片的感動位是因為喚起大眾對真人蘇樺偉的回憶，而不是戲內的場景。不過都應該支持一下本地製作及體育的故事。
剧本有问题，两星给苏桦伟几个不同时期扮演者的演技，演得好。
最末尾有个感动点。

感动点集中在前段和中后段，美中不足是感受不到08年残奥会对男主角、母子以及家庭命运有何特别意义。

稍為可惜:
喜剧演员来演正剧，总是有种泪中带笑的快慰，所以吴君如姐姐让我今天在电影院准备的一包纸巾没有用完哈哈哈哈。
整体剧情节奏有点奇怪，但是演员演技很好，尤其小时候那段妈妈崩溃的戏一下子就让人看哭，还是原音最能打动人。
於是，初審能把此片送入5強，有一半，是衝著母慈子孝，另外一半，是跟這代人，即年輕人，站在一起。
这么现实的题材能拍出来已经很不容易了，残疾运动员的生活也太艰辛了，猛男落泪555。吴君如和男主这次演技炸裂啊，对手戏也很有感觉，明年金像奖很有戏。致敬另一位苏神！
用力哭，不如用力跑。你现在是真的要跑步，不是做神奇小子。你虽然走得比别人慢，但跑得比别人快。

妈妈说：你是残疾没人会怪你，他们只会怪我呀！用力哭不如用力跑！
真的，为什么残疾人运动员的奖金比别人少，他们应该得到一样的尊重。

看到阿伟接广告后的状态本来心里有一点责怪妈妈的意思，却被妈妈那段话深深打动：你的残废是天生的，没有人会怪你，可会有人怪妈妈啊。是啊，成也是妈妈，败也是妈妈，妈妈才是最难当的身份啊。
