The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 本片中心思想：不要生小孩,小孩会带来不幸。
影片将家庭之苦与生活之难表现得淋漓尽致，尤其是，本以为是这个家庭中的最为坚强的爸爸，在听到小女儿终于无恙时，在楼道无人处止不住的抽泣。原来，成年人的崩溃如雪崩，猝然之间，可以毁灭所有平静的场景。
里面描写的20年前台湾学校教育和家庭教育的氛围，像极了现在中国大陆的样子，老师体罚学生，家长打骂小孩，成绩差的学生受排挤，言语霸凌的严重性被忽视。
女儿怀念向往曾经的生活，以为等在原地的是代表自由美好的小马 其实妈妈才是一直温顺等待家庭 疾病套上辔头的白马吧…说不上具体好在哪，足够真所以足够动人 “我的白马儿你慢些跑啊，这一次没有我带你回家。”
1.全篇色调过于阴沉，使人感觉太压抑
期待太高以至于无法接受这么普通。
文化、经济和病症的重重包袱之下，各有各的委屈与不适，生活就是这样啊。爱是最简单的也是最有力量的。
比起愛，這一家人更懂什麼是恨。喜歡這部片細水長流的講述方式，到最後也沒有所謂的和解。看了導演的訪問，她說這部片沒有一場戲是虛構的，所以這種自傳式的情感故事衝擊力很大。話說大女兒在網咖裡聽的那首是周杰倫的什麼歌？（😢）
那如果這已經是她的最好了呢？
过于贴近议题的刻意，用对白推进剧情却不见人物有过真正的沟通。等垃圾车和结尾两处喜欢，其余的乏味了点。

讲述中国式的母女关系这不比《瀑布》好？林嘉欣也比贾静雯强十倍，片尾曲居然是陈绮贞唱的！
American Girl讲，有时候恨跟爱是一体两面；“但这如果已经是她的最好了呢？”
细节丰满，泪点足，但完成度似乎差一点儿。
好喜欢这类家庭题材，林嘉欣演技很好，剧情选择的内容很棒，即能表现各人物当时所处角度的想法，又能体现在家庭粘聚力下各种关系的感觉…
