The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 基本就是看开头和结尾，中间没什么意思。结尾还以为女主要摆男主一道。最后僵尸军团的人出现。。。就是很无聊的一部电影
男主竟然是活死人军团里面那个锁匠！最后一个保险柜就是活死人军团里面最后要开的那个！！！这尼玛原来是个前传啊。。女主跟工具人男友组建的神偷军团，这个“神”在哪里愣是没有看出来啊。。。
电影情节支离破碎，人物描写一塌糊涂。。。一星给女主，一星给男主富有特点的德式英语。
最复杂的密码锁，安安静静转一转，都能打开？你确定？
剩下我能吐槽的只有。。很多角色塑造都太单一了，除了男主，其他人都跟个卡通角色似的，性格只有一面，几乎没任何层次感，女主勉强算个例外。。然而塑造还是还太少啊。。要不也给搞个前传电影吧？
人物情感铺垫少，因此显得有些感情升温得很突兀。丧尸只作为背景出现在新闻里，略微有些不过瘾。
导演想让大家看到造锁背后的故事，而观众更多的想看他们怎么开锁，一众演员选的不错，开锁小哥个人魅力演的挺好，娜塔莉的颜越来越高了。
人物小传拍成长篇自然是指望不了什么完成度，所谓和锁的“沟通”这个概念也只是做到了没有无聊到给本就乏善可陈的片子拖后腿。优点在于作为盗匪片几乎没什么动作戏但依然看的不无聊，但大多时候依然靠女一女儿颜值硬撑起整个片子，男主絮絮叨叨又软弱的性格实在是不讨喜，废话连篇又没梗更是拖沓又尴尬。因为前传属性所以只能戛然而止的爱情戏成为了完善单独这部片子趣味性的工具，在活死人里无照应，对男主也没有任何内心层面的影响，完全为加而加。最后男主也是跟着斯坦开第四个箱子去了，又仿佛这片子里的事像没发生过，这也侧面印证了这部定位尴尬的前传完全没有任何存在的必要
动作设计绝对是亮点，速度感、力量感、打击感都挺到位的，几处反高潮设计也很不错，尤其是女仆店杀黑道那一幕，干劲利落。
想了下还是没法给到三星，就是一部杀时间的片子，就算一边玩一边看也完全不影响理解剧情。而且反派看起来并不那么反，正派也自私到有些愚蠢。是那种典型的刺激视觉的刺激不了神经的片子。
烂片的前作能好到哪？典型的美式商业片，组团打怪类，没新意

各方面都不错。尤其结尾男主整理那一段挺感人。女主真的美，看权游时就特别喜欢她，五官真的很精致，黑人特征除了卷发和微黑的皮肤，其他基本上都没有
弥黛桑，和安雅是我心中永远的白月光🤕🤕。确实要比活死人军团好得多，就是bug太明显了，开锁开得很吵
大爽片该有的元素都具备，很多似曾相识的镜头是《极速60秒》《偷天换日》《落水狗》《纵横四海》《纸钞屋》等剧里都有的，开密码锁这种天才跟瓦格纳创作《尼伯龙根的指环》一样，通常我们认为仅仅是天才，玄妙而不可解释，其实同样需要持久的热忱和训练；可以做到行业顶尖的一小撮人，大都是基于对事业天真、执拗的喜欢。所以电影干脆把这个主张说穿，不同于其他江洋大盗的“盗亦有道”，这次的观点是：大家都很有钱，也不怎么在乎钱，会把征服艰难的东西当作人生追求，放大追求本身的魅力，每个人都该为自己的追求而活。没有宗教信仰的狂热，而把手艺或匠作本身做到极致，是哲学中某种存在主义。不算是名不见经传的小人物突然发威，更像是《复仇者联盟》，大家身怀绝技，动不动是黑客的无网不破、空手道以及实打实的高智商，把爽片往死里拍，很好。
鉴于这片的确是比正传好，正传扣到3星
有种女团团综要在节目里表演得关系很好的僵硬感，一些无所谓的日常、偶尔谈一谈心、吃点喜欢的东西，很真实但又很浮于表面的青少女生活，女仆咖啡店的前辈长得挺漂亮。
偷盗类题材的算是有些偏爱，二个小时也算可以流畅紧凑地看下来，但是看完你会觉得这片真的相当相当平庸。
