The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 男主人设实在不讨喜。结局圆满又正确，好莱坞潜规则兜兜转转又回去了（以前要正确结尾，有段时间变成要坏人赢，现在又轮回去了）

心理的变化和救赎表现的不明显，全片给人刻意的感觉，转折较生硬，可以看出导演对这一题材能力不足，又一个好故事被平庸。男主演技还是可以的。

有想法的本子和拍摄，但是对演员要求太高了，吉伦哈尔演的不错但有点满。虽然本片主角是不该让人喜欢，但暴躁和忏悔的表现还是有点分裂，让人无法对主角产生深刻共情。
