The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 其实从中间开始就猜到结局了 但是真的看到结局部分的时候眼泪还是哗哗流
又名我的女友有三个爹两个妈。嘛，催泪点还是渲染的很到位的。咩的演技进步不小。男主的存在感觉有点鸡肋。剧情里面设置了好几个戏剧点却都一笔带过了，没有更深入去描写总觉得不如不写。中间女主带男朋友一个爹一个爹的拜访的时候突然有点好笑…
所有演员的颜值都在我的审美点上，芽郁真的太可爱了，撇开十元奇怪的依附行为，整部剧实在是太暖了，芽郁被所有人疼爱着，所有人都充满了奇妙的善意，这种理想化的情感，还是可以被打动

故事整體溫馨且感人，這部影片的色調也非常舒服。是非常不錯的作品，但劇情還是有些許缺乏。PS：永野芽鬱真的好美啊！(>﹏<)
这大概是一部大部分中国人都不能理解的影片。然而正因为它的特殊性才展现了生活中那些奉献与牺牲，痛苦与救赎。也许是篇幅的原因，很多地方的情感都有些仓促。但是永野梨花带雨的大眼睛可以拯救一切
近期看到的日剧作品中为数不多的治愈系作品，你遇到的每一个人只是一段旅程中的站点不必太过怀念。未来还是有不同的体验与未知的可能。有一个西班牙语就是说如果你对事物产生了情感，那就成为了时间的囚徒。或者说亲情生来就是一场无声的绑架，悲欢始于同一种模式和同一群人，这个里面讲那个原生家庭挺奇葩，剧情挺巧妙小有波澜。美好得像适合六一儿童节档的（PS俗一点讲，亲情类的治愈但是寡淡，它逃脱不出给物种遗传基因的俗套，亲情用这种方式pua了所有人
人物塑造得不合理了，但这种叙事方式有丶意思，看一半突然意识到这是同个人hhh。十元的角色能钓这么多就老公太离谱了，结尾就嗯催泪三十分钟，这段的多人对话拍得不是很好(๑ت๑)

中间女主弹钢琴小时候和长大开始衔接起来那段的确有被感动到，到后面剧情就有点拖沓不好看了。比起十元这段感人的母爱，更喜欢田中圭这种没什么波澜却很真诚的父爱
剪辑的镜头和配乐都很有水准，但是这个故事真的太戏剧性了，剧中的台词有几句的重复利用很有感觉。来回利用切换的镜头去讲述该故事把现代和过去的时间串起来讲述，让人通俗易懂。剧中的台词都是有相对的铺垫的，例如妈妈去哪了？爸爸去哪了？后面都是有交代到，故事情节来说还算是圆满的，和电影的题目相得益彰。剧中女主在充满爱的一个环境中成长，其实算是一种对美好人心的愿望吧。现实中的结局可想而知，所以才说电影是生活的剪影吧。
看完小說再看電影，咩醬跟田中圭的父女演的很好，十元的笑真的讓人印象深刻（稍有一點用力過猛），岡田不知怎麼地這部演的有點綁手綁腳，合唱團那真的很感動，還有最後十元結局那，因為跳過一些小說結局的過程，蠻驚訝的
虽然故事有点离奇，好在最后给圆回来了。心存美好总是好的。一部赚走了我妈妈一大把眼泪的电影。
