电影拍摄得非常唯美，即使是在最悲惨的境遇下，画面依旧是美的。但是从剧情上来说，立意略显单薄，淘金热这一时代背景有很多可以刻画的内容，却被粗粗带过。

足够玛丽苏的宗教爱情电影。肯定有人说什么男主圣母，但没伤害别人圣母啥呢，给爱的人选择的权利圣母啥呢。BTW，男女主都挺好看的，还有最后Michael见到Sarah的那首插曲《Rescue》很值得一听！
