The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 每场比赛结束他都会亲吻妻子，我还以为是戏剧化的处理，结果竟然是真的，佩服。
剧情上面有点扯，亲生父母寻找女儿的目的令人不寒而栗，而且瞎老爷子的战斗力实在是有点爆棚，甚至被完全控制住还能让他跑掉，真不懂到底这些反派才是瞎子还是弱智.........
第二部比第一部更暴力血腥！老爷子毕竟是老了，但意气不减当年，伤口上直接灌胶水！老爷子家里总会有你喜欢的东西，第一部钱💰 ，第二部超级无敌可爱小萝莉！5打1？还带一条狗🐶 ，真的狗啊！虽然你是来找你女儿的，但是你稍微要感谢一下老大爷的照顾女儿之恩情吧！再说你抢到女儿，让他跟着你制毒吗？不好吧~_~，你又不是绝命毒师老白。答应我，把小萝莉塔拉送到正规学校🏫 好好读书叭，太难了。小萝莉的假父亲穿插进来真的恶心，要一个小女孩的心脏？？？你怎么不去死！还妈妈👩🏻 ？最终还是大黄爱大爷！铃铛🔔 辩位法，大爷独创。小女孩的演技真的，结尾的哭戏，真的秒杀国内某流浪女星。
PS：竟然把男主洗白了。
我算明白豆瓣这帮装b犯了，这片儿多好看呢！瞎老头大战群匪，就算不是在一个单一场景光这个设定就很牛逼啊！还有在那儿嘲小姑娘长相的，她演技多棒而且也很灵啊，嘲小孩长相的人最垃圾！以及，要是再来一遍瞎老头在密室虐杀小贼，那帮人又该嚷嚷没新意了！这世上没有电影配得上他们！
做为体育传记片，并不算优秀，节奏有些拖沓。多一颗星给的是真实的人物本身和他拼搏的精神。不放弃的拼搏精神是口好鸡汤，总是可以打动人的。结尾看到女主原来和真实人物还是挺像的，做到了努力还原。
2021年了，面对疫情，美国ZF的麻木与不作为，美国民众的 懦弱 愚昧 ，药企的无良欺骗，让美国所有的励志片都成了笑话，零分
华叔的传记片必须期待一波 美橄的电影早已经看的差不多了没得看了需要新的来满足 不知道电影能不能带给我第一次看华叔橄榄球人生那一集的感动

其实是那种看到片名就知道怎么拍的故事了，角色塑造的很好了，这个运动员温润的性格也深入人心，有王者风范
