The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 有一个评论说得很认同，这种影片就像一份要完成的作业，特别是最后那种点明每个人结局的结尾。我觉得值得肯定的一点是，大家都知道是“奇迹”，结尾肯定是合家欢喜的，但中间依旧经历了各种变故各种劫难，没有轻描淡写带过。不过帮助主角成功的buff还是开得有点过于顺利过于巧合了。

文导讲故事的本领很棒，虽然没有《我不是药神》那么震撼，但依然很励志，还会戳到你的泪点，易洋千玺的戏越来越棒，这次甚至超越了《送你一朵小红花》中的演出，而王宁、章宇、田雨、齐溪、许君聪一众演员们的搭戏也都很精彩，在疫情肆虐的当下看完它，的确能让人振奋不已！
7.3分，前面不错，有泪点有笑点，但是深夜车站追击戏大可不必，结尾更是一塌糊涂，还不如结尾到电梯里那场戏呢，不过优点也有，许多细节不错，剧情是老套没什么新意的鸡汤片，但是四字的演技肉眼可见的强了，不是四字粉但是因为有四字女友粉的好朋友，我真的也几乎是一路陪着她看了不少四字，确实是越来越好，希望四字加油，演员们都演技在线
现实主义的小人物题材，战斗力满满的创业小队，将创业之路的艰难险阻得以诠释。影片从理想主义的角度出发，从现实角度去解读创业之路，因此让我们有理由相信，只要相信奇迹，无论是普通打工人还是创业的领导，都可以创出属于自己的一片天。
同性恋、恋母、谋杀，男权社会中的禁忌与秘密如同藏在木头堆底下的兔子，导演一根根掀开木头，兔子始终不跑出来，你只能通过缝隙看到兔子颤抖的身体和祈求的眼睛，直到他被抱出来杀死。
又赚我眼泪。。。虽然剧情都可以预料，但是小朋友演得真不错~前半段看的我着急，真想爬进电影里面去帮帮他

越往后越不太行，虽然从第一秒我就应该知道这是一个成功学鸡汤故事，可当我发现它真就是一个成功学鸡汤的时候，多少还是有点失望。
坎皮恩有种浑然天成的异质化雌雄同体拍片气质，细腻的女性捕捉和男性故事的粗粝，揉合出策马扬鞭下的人性瑟缩。光线的明暗变化，强尼·格林伍德弥漫耸动的配乐，令角色和环境完全融合，变形为一个陈列人性悲凉的画卷。极富黑色意味的结局，掐断了你对情节的执迷，这更像通过人性的选择，记录劣势和少数群体被社会挤压后的暴戾。嘴角渗出惊悚笑意的残酷挽歌。本尼和邓斯特的优秀表演，沉浸成影片的灵魂。

中规中矩，像喝了一杯白开水，说不出来不好，但是也没啥滋味～不过小人物小事件放大很好，就一个故事线看起来不会疲劳～
抛开剧本不谈 表演说两点 田雨让我老感觉中段会大反转背叛；看完王宁表演后感觉他离开开心麻花真的合情合理
新的一年，也希望自己能有勇气面对困难。以此电影激励自己。
