The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 抢险、逃生的场景大多设计在局促或封闭的空间里，应该制造出紧张、恐惧、压抑的气氛，可惜本片有些松垮，观众很难入戏跟随着紧张；本片是有大的灾难和应急处置场面的，遗憾也没有展示出来。还有，自始至终画面昏暗阴郁，即使是灾难片，也不必非得如此，《泰坦尼克号》同是灾难片，画面不也很明快嘛。若此题材由好莱坞制作，估计会拍得更为宏大，冲击力更强，更能打动人心。5.7分。

有些超出预期，很难得的有种真实感，不再是俊男靓女们说着第一世界的烦恼。结局是有些俗套了。
讲了一个勇敢北欧大妞冒死去油井深处救男友的故事。最后有句话内涵了：还以为我们是石油国家，其实是个海洋国家。

由于是相关行业就看了一下，片子气质很北欧，即使是灾难片也没有太浮夸，点到即止。
