The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 即便老了，比利还是那个令人闻风丧胆的比利小子。
依旧保持西部片的精神内核，只是结局隐喻着西部片没落的现实，而这种现实大概起于三十年之前。
又一部细腻、丰满、深沉、张力十足的西部片。前面压节奏徐徐展开，各种细节铺垫、营造出内敛而愈趋紧张的氛围，几乎没有配乐却难掩紧张不安、蓄满了“山雨欲来风满楼”之势。最后对决干净利落，怜子之情自然流露，揭示老亨利的真实身份的同时给片子增添了些许温情与悲壮色彩。近期难得的佳片。

其他都不错，就是小孩太干净了！根本不像一个没了妈的农场孩子……更像流量小生乱入。枪战场面安排略微随意了一些……
中规中矩。儿子长得也太不像老子了。男主很适合演老比利小子。

亨利的老婆一定非常美丽，才能生出这么漂亮的孩子。虽然亨利很厉害，但是孩子也没有好好教育一下，不知道他之后能不能生存下去。

尽管粗粝感有了，但终究打斗过程过于简单而前面的铺垫有些冗长，其中的几条支线也和主线没啥必然关联，当然更重要的是，作为中国人，我们对西部世界并没有情亲感，很难为情怀再加一星了，
西部版《我和我的家乡》+《我和我的父辈》。一个女性角色都没有。就是稳准狠，把西部片最吸引男性观众的元素全部提炼了出来，也顺便把女性观众和娘炮踢的远远的。
