The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 故事很接地气，完成度也很高，主题围绕传统文化和新时代爱情观，其间穿插着很多轻松的小幽默，从头到尾给人一种很真诚、很舒服的感觉，尤其几首潮汕歌很有当地风格。缺点是影片最后的转折略显生硬。还有就是看完暗下决心以后也要带妈妈坐一次飞机。
较比前作更有电影感，表演也更加自然（尤其结尾用手机录像的时候）但故事依然过于平淡了，剧情的转折，人物的冲突，都让人觉得力度不够
能看到这个团队的进步，期待他们下一部作品

7.8 作为潮汕方言的电影 完成度超出预期…描绘了潮汕地区的文化风俗…潮汕地区 确实存在着各种因为外省 八字不合被迫分手的现象，但也在接受着一些新的观念 希望能打破一些人对潮汕地区的偏见吧…ps.女主角很耐看…
是一部发生在潮汕故事的全素人演的电影
作为电影不怎么样，但是有助于外省女孩了解部分潮汕家庭，非必要不嫁潮汕男？现实只会比电影更甚。
虽然不太喜欢，但是妈妈演的好舒服，在那个想要孙子的邻居给妈妈炫耀她的小孙女好可爱的时候忍不住哭了

素人演员碰撞出不一样的火花，融入潮汕本地的风俗和文化，让本来简单的故事更添人情味。
原班底的第二部，主题是外省“媳妇”本地郎，潮汕地区根深蒂固、难以完全消除的守旧思想之一，呈现算是比较真实，但剧作中庸了点，就像是完成任务式的把故事讲出来而已，进步有限，影像质感也只是网大水准。
