The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 整个故事讲得很节制，镜头表达和主角主观的距离感刚刚好，认识这种真实事件对个人生活也有警醒作用
电影从头至尾的那种悲伤和执着深深打动着我，生命中那些来来去去的人们，不管去了哪里，不管是短暂的还是永远的，都记得在告别时说一句I'll see you down the road，总有一天会再相见，而那些一起经历的往事，或美好或残酷或悲伤，都会一直留在那片广阔无垠的天地里，永远都在。很爱本片的摄影！#NYFF58#
D- / 好久没看到过这么无趣的公路片了，摸不透素材选取的思路，采用线性叙事又放弃叙事逻辑而改用场景拼贴，剪辑叙事和摄像各行其道，而影像又空洞而缺乏表现力，因此填充的配乐甚是露怯，和马力克比也差太远。
世界上有很多不得不上路的人，人们觉得他们无家可归，但在他们心里，四海皆为家。敬这些人的勇敢，真挚和心怀自由。
被悲伤孤独抽离后的私人救赎之旅。沿路的同类，兀自的山峦，远方的冷空气。回忆也许美，可是正在飞走对不对。
整体挺chill out，通俗版Terrence Malick能成新一代的鸡汤配方倒是没想到。
好舒服的电影，与其说是转述或呈现不如说更像是我偶然闯入了一个房间，一个人正在倾听另一个人讲话，不肖多时我发现我也想听。又像散文诗，被轻易地带进一个陌生而温暖的世界，里面有温柔的游侠和群居的篝火。那片土地上的治愈是真正从苦难里生出的花，你不用采摘，光是看见就让人也有所宽慰。
亲爱的，我们也并不是朝着甜蜜走去，而是向着永恒。
