The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 非常有趣，帮观众回顾了美国上世纪的太空时代，那个最美好的时代。
比较新颖，很少看这样的片子，通过片子可以了解到那些年代的一些事情。
目标受众：1970年在得克萨斯州长大的白人。 画风有点像印刷版画，相对独特。童年回忆部分有些冗长，像是导演童年记忆简单的堆积。个人共鸣不多，画风也不是特别能接受，暂不推荐。

是人类历史性的一刻，不过当往后回想起，真正留存下来的模糊记忆片段是八九岁在太空乐园精力耗尽的一天之后阖家围坐电视机前守直播，跟困意作斗争失败窝在沙发里昏沉睡去。随后母亲替他调整了睡姿，把他的双腿搁在自己腿上。"You could drift off, knowing everything was going to be fine. And you'd wake up the next morning in your bed." 会怀念童年时这种可以在行驶的车厢里毫无顾虑地安心睡去的special comfort.
被猝不及防的杀戮场面震撼。
虽然电影不是纪录片，但也试图间接感受一下那边的氛围。军队、民兵、雇佣兵、特种兵交错在一起，还要消化一下才行。。。

喜欢这种结构的故事，谁又能证明他没有登月呢，童年充满美好与幻想，平安长大太不容易啦。

看之前没想到是动画形式的纪录片，氛围温馨明快，最后孩子和成人交替步入浩瀚宇宙中的场景足够梦幻美丽，而渺小的人类还在争论登月的意义
这种rotoscope的动画技术真实但又很诡异。结尾妈妈那句“how memory works”不要说就好了。总体就是一篇文章可以搞定的事情拍了一部电影。
不如说是在追忆童年 追忆美国最后最光辉的时代吧 父亲一个人的工作可以养起整个家庭 邻里和谐 没有社交媒体 搞不懂的大人的世界 政治 战争
看的是翻译组字幕比较流畅。
