The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 有些亮点，比如Chat & Chew店里的移镜，以及那个鱼眼PTSD，但是整体在三个主角和三条故事线里完全迷失了
8.5/10 2021年看过最好的美国电影，甚至不用加之一，是血统纯正的美国片。保罗施拉德让人敬佩，重复的拍着同一种电影、写着同一类主人公。依然是机械学的，单管镜的，心理现实主义，剧作无懈可击，导演异常沉稳，无误的精确度与恰当的适配性，几乎抹去了调度上本应揭示的若干导演意图性，控制力被隐去，用最小主义的调度，排除任何拟情或共情的可能。片尾主人公同样迎来了自己的恩宠时刻，一如American Gigolo和Light Sleeper那样 (即使追根溯源这来自布列松的启示)。虽早已不是第一次看施拉德的电影，但每当看他的新片时还是会叹服这般作者意志。
以前看过的影片了，故事设计的还不错，真的就像片名一样……

影像风格和故事设计都很施拉德，一颗荒芜的心如何拯救另一颗濒死的心，监狱广角设计有意思，其他则寥寥。
中间睡过去了，出来和同行朋友对了一下答案，发现没错过太多。就打分了，感觉确实是好睡了一些。
