The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 观影体验超出预期，也许以后在电脑上看，这就是一部平平无奇煽情老套的披着科幻的喜剧片。然而影片的特效扎实逼真，在影院有更好体验。剧情框架偏灾难型，但表现得很浪漫很温馨，去掉那些刻意的笑料，其实是一部很励志正能量的科幻片，某些场景放在当下环境也非常合适。娱乐放松，推荐一看。
虽然最后又在煽情上价值，但不耽误搞笑哈哈~虽然也是各种烂梗，但“今天也是元气满满的一天呀”还是印象很深刻！感觉是为沈腾量身打造的角色，小人物之光，他演猥琐都不令人讨厌…

意外的好看 ！ 本来以为是喜剧 后面看了以为是灾难片！结果是一部英雄主义精神大片！煽情处理的很棒！两处都让我情不自禁潸然泪下！袋鼠cp真的很好嗑！爱了爱了！
沈腾把这个角色的自命不凡和自我感动表现得淋漓尽致，从侧面衬托出导演自高自大的拍摄态度和自不量力的拍摄水准。若客官有自信挑战这部这部充满自欺欺人煽情段落和令人想要自我了结配乐的作品，请注意按摩椅按摩时长设置不要超过30分钟。

四星鼓励。喜剧慢慢加入煽情再过渡到个人英雄很自然呀，觉得已经是国产商业片在这类情节处理方面的标杆了，以前一些喜剧片的动机和转折简直僵硬幼稚到不行。看评论怎么那么多觉得不搞笑或者煽情不好的，着实摸不透现在大众的口味…开头番茄酱和袋鼠引入的部分做的有点无聊，和之后的氛围有些脱节。地球上的灯光字幕是借鉴超越巅峰吧，但那一段我觉得比结尾更煽情，做的不错。
看了50分钟 没一个地方让我笑的。大概就黄子韬好笑一点。。很烂很烂
看见腾叔我就开始笑了，前面真的挺好笑的，演技很好希望以后编剧需要努力一点哦，腾叔的演技值得拿奖，动画和特效都做的很棒，很可惜独孤月和马蓝星都没有正式的面对面好好说过话
沈腾在《独行月球》里贡献了从影以来尺度最大的演出，包括全裸和床戏。
剧本看出是好好编了，整体节奏，细节把控和情感都到位了。科幻和喜剧的结合蛮好，很多地方脑洞都很大。但是前半段实在是段子的叠堆，称其是电影都有点勉为其难。二幕后和第三幕节奏上来了，最终任务浮出水面，危急时刻到来，整体好了很多。本片的确出现在一个很微妙的时刻，人们既被疫情搞得精疲力竭；电影市场又亟需这样一部娱乐性极强的作品救世。在这样的双重背景下，本片有了超过故事本身的别样意义。又，本片的题材如果拍成一部严肃作品是非常合适的，喜剧来说还是有点浮。但若是严肃作品恐怕又达不到以上的功效了。
其实后半部分煽情是有点冗长了，但我还挺喜欢独孤月和马蓝星的感情线刻画，沈马这部感情戏比过往任何电影都好嗑
很像麻花话剧的一部电影，大量强行的语言包袱，基本上应用的都是“预期违背”这种单一的技巧。感觉就像校园时代调皮的男同学在课堂上接老师话茬一样，又好气又好笑。好气是因为被打断了思路扰乱了秩序，好笑是因为真的憋不住被逗笑了...所以就只能大笑着摇摇头，再继续看下去。
很难受，因为之前非常喜欢《夏洛特烦恼》，也不知道是不是时间久了我脑内自动美化，得去重温一遍。但这一部我好失望。夸张的演技，令人抗拒的人物形象，名字叫《独行月球》，也没有真的“独行”，想拍摄个人英雄主义的影片，却又摆脱不了集体英雄主义的背景。

以开心麻花的标准，笑点差夏洛特烦恼十部西红柿首富，沈腾舔照片马丽脸上番茄汁那段，低俗到了恶心的程度！影片割裂严重，前半部分的诙谐和后半部分的刻意煽情让人非常不适，还不如拍成开心麻花版《火星救援》！电影哪怕是结尾在救袋鼠和自己活的角度，立意在绝望和自我救赎上，它也算一部合格电影。可惜，最后还是落在的一个英雄拯救了地球的套路上，唯一的欣慰是主角好歹是挂了！

我老婆说这片是近期最好看的国产喜剧片了。我说：“你看过哪几部喜剧片是最后主角领便当的？”不过考虑到是沈腾作男主角，我就不觉得奇怪了。拍的不是喜中带悲的喜剧，而是丧事喜办。对了，编剧对月球重力简直一无所知。
