The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 前半部分气氛控制了特别好，虽然看的一知半解，但是对于男女性别之间的解读还是比较清楚的。导演是一个非常热爱自然的人，好感度up！

各种隐喻，各种画面，模糊且独特
拍得很细腻，导致代入感很强，的确是看完会有阴影的片，竟然是男性导演？了不起。视听相当赞
在男权社会各种buff加持下的男人们总是如此地团结，暴躁的丈夫、伪善的房东、野外的变态、厌女的男孩、不作为的警察、道貌岸然的牧师，正反夹击，黑脸白脸红脸各司其职，为女性布下天罗地网。
少见的能把psychoanalytical feminism视觉化的作品，从这点来说值得鼓励。但是与之相对应的是文本实在是太单薄了，以致于呈现上奇观性远大于思辨性，蛮可惜的。相比之下《soho区夜惊魂》的文本就丰富多了。
前半段异常唯美，后半段异常扭曲的血腥，但概念真的挺好的。
MEN，男性糟粕大赏。男性的确应该看看，是什么令人恐惧或厌恶。最后的套娃不恐怖，但有点意思。不知道爱是什么，但绝不应该是束缚和伤害。
a24的片子真是越来越难以下咽，故作高深、虚声靡靡、全是自以为的概念加上一点点视觉冲击力，感觉这样下去离倒闭也不远了…
前一小时好过后一小时，最后套娃场面实在是好恶。传递的道理直白到无非是——男人，一切创伤的来源。
反应社会环境，当女性陷入恐惧时，他们面对的社会环境会成倍的放大……不过最后没懂，与自己和解？杀掉了怪物？

符号是直给的，隐喻是表层的，但图像上绝对能载入cult影史（到后半段越看越兴奋。直接联想到阿伦诺夫斯基的《母亲！》一类强符号性的寓言作品，海报之一也让人想到《趣味游戏》，同样不断地对观众实施精神强暴。
结尾的几个镜头，恶男不断孕育新的恶男，恶生恶，我要吐了。

一如既往喜欢加兰这种带着神秘莫测的电影。
