The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 没看标题，但看时却自然的想到了父母在，人生尚有来处这句。很喜欢结尾的留白和回眸。脱下衣裳，人人都是赤条条的来。

去年年底韩影也有一部合家欢，今年也是。虽然有很多好感的演员，但是每条线都太粗糙了，李栋旭霸道总裁爱上小员工和韩智敏李阵郁这两条线都很一般，反倒学生组和老年组更好点。允儿算是很大亮点了哈哈，之前我还在想是谁能说出“我声音好听，也很漂亮”这种话，一回头是林允儿，OK服气。
希望所有的衰老和死亡都有尊严。
滑冰女和不说男
韩国版《真爱至上》，多线故事里只有“自杀男孩和叫醒服务”、“暗恋多年的男孩结婚了但新娘不是我”这两个故事最有趣，其他的不痛不痒。老年CP在公园追逐的戏，和婚礼上卡农的伴奏都瞬间梦回《我的野蛮女友》，但也说明郭在容真的拿不出什么新东西了。
李光洙在温馨的爱情电影里好笑得格格不入又很高亮。
给予他们希望，给予他们活下去的勇气，这估计就是导演最希望告诉我们的内容。
熟悉韩圈，演员基本都认识，虽然剧情俗套，但是看得还是很舒服的。韩版真爱至上，还能看到一些韩剧经典桥段的影子，让我想到了88的戒指梗还有机医里的五人组，当然也有让人诟病的学校线以及职场线，太扯了，河那线的惊喜是允儿，李振郁的暗线太明显了，所以小迷糊到底演了个啥？
