The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 总体还是未能脱出美式青春片的套路框架，但更加的贴合现实，要讲的东西挺清晰的。
6/10。简单的故事，平铺直叙，虽然没什么深度，但整体的风格、节奏与摄影看着都满舒适的，尤其是配乐，选得实在太棒了。

全片色调清新爽逸。但因篇幅有限，使欲图讨论的内容稍有满载，以致一些部分的节奏衔接略为失恰，可能做成一部短剧会更好一些。轻快驿动的脆弱与点拨即发的决心之间的巧妙转换是成长永远不缺少的激荡，对于其间的刻画若能给予更多的细节可能会让这部作品有更多展现的空间。戳爷表演中的灵动敏感是惊喜，希望以后能看到他作为演员的更多尝试。
