The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 一个感情失意生活潦倒的同志父亲的中年危机，留恋过往，逃避当下，不断通过性爱、酒精与药物麻痹自己，依然摆脱不了自伤和伤人的结果。演员卖力演出，尺度惊人，却拯救不了故事的松散与破碎。
感觉到后面好像能感受到为什么这么低的分了，不过觉得有时候同性恋发生这样那样，那样那样，嗯，但我也是给的挺低的分的。
当个放松喜剧挺好的啊，饭后娱乐笑一笑，为啥非要吹毛求疵。。。

20220726 Film at Lincoln Center, NYC NYAFF22 比想象中要感性，买票的时候没想到这是一个同性故事，导演和男主在现场Q&A的时候也提到了王家卫（事实上有一个scene就是致敬春光乍泄，巧的是NYAFF上周也放了春光乍泄）剧本很有意思，关系很复杂，好几个爱而不得而被伤害的故事。喜剧部分也是好笑的。
在爱人面前发疯似的挽回那已经支离破碎的爱情，在女儿面前极力地做好一位父亲，却总是不尽人意……
感觉这类电影很难引起观众共鸣，片子并没有出彩的地方。
同志的中年危机。
一个失意的中年人，在不得志的人生中艰难而困苦地寻找自己，寻找生活的意义，然而最终他未能得到求索的答案，却失去了人生中难能可贵的亲情和爱情……故事很简单，电影节奏也很舒缓，南美电影中善于突出的风格大胆也都丝毫不差，只是一个中年大叔在恋爱中表现出来的少女感真的让人难以入目，或许也和南美洲人的性格有关，但这份少女感确实有些油腻，也是这部电影我不太感兴趣的关键。
