The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 一首温柔的时代印象曲，艰难未知充满悲喜的家庭生活影像，动人之处在于时代痕迹和可信度，配乐太舒服了
新的一家人拥抱舞蹈时的她。
从名字就吸引我的电影，果然又有侯麦的“戏份”。声音电台、夜晚、八十年代、单亲家庭、女性主导叙事，摇曳又自然，像是只有巴黎才能发生的故事。
会有别人眼中的我们/那些碎片/我们曾以为瞥见的，我们的碎片/会由我们的梦渗透/每一次，我们都是外来者/夜旅人/就像被留在房间的旧镜子上的那些脆弱的阴影/很久很久没有看过这么「舒缓」的电影，一种温暖的东西，慢慢延长，不会被时间停止。反复确认拍摄年份，惊讶导演竟然依然可以拍出法国新浪潮电影的质感，细腻的粗糙感。
如果所有的听力都是Charlotte来读就好了
