The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 剧情大概都猜的出来，但是配乐一出来加上画面还是很好哭
两位主演在电影里的火花远不如静态写真来得般配。藤井道人在有原作的情况下还是拍得这么寡淡，找不到情感的发力点，真的不行。十年里最美好的瞬间都用MV展示，反而失去了应有的力度……死人纯爱要打动人是不是还得来点她认真活过的印记呢，坂口和小松都很好看，但也仅限于此了。
小松太美了 美女连鼻梁痣都是氛围感#整部电影最感动的地方是滑雪回来以后小松抱着妈妈哭 说自己想再活的久一点 在爱人面前可以假装坚强笑着说再见 在妈妈面前才能任性的说自己也不甘心 也想活下去 太戳我了😭
虽然剧情很老套，作为日系纯爱片及格线水平，但这种绝症题材很吃我的泪点。如果把自己代入主角的身份我想不至于评论里那样不堪吧。希望我们好好思考生命的意义，余命的十年该怎么去活?亲情爱情友情三条线片中都有，相对来说爱情线有些薄弱。美好的景色画面，优美的音乐，缓慢的节奏和绝美的nana，这些足够达到我想象里的美好。樱风下遇爱雨那段绝美动人，还有我自己也很想用画面记录下生命里的美好瞬间。（ps 为nana加1星）
《向着明亮那方》中外婆的篇章让我不自觉想起自己那位远在天堂的祖母，她也是，什么东西都喜欢藏起来、留下来，总是能从各个角落里拿出很多让人意想不到的“宝贝”，小心翼翼的递到你手上，还记得每次从农村离开，她清明的眼神中总是伴着一些浑浊的泪水，让人久久难以忘怀。可她是个很小气的人，这么多年了也没到我梦里来过。

很少看到的题材，每个故事都很温暖，尤其是萤火虫女孩那个真的很美好了，很适合带着小朋友来看！
看了大概40分钟吧。有什么意义呢所以。给黑木华找个老公麻烦也找个好看点的，没钱也不至于这么理直气壮。
比想象中好很多，一开始觉得小松菜奈和坂口健太郎两人完全没有CP感，但这两人果然都是演技派，很大程度上是因为他们两人出色的表演慢慢让两人有了恋爱的感觉，而且非常真挚浓烈，再加上藤井道人的导技，这部催泪纯爱电影还是和其他同类型影片有所不同，非常有实感，另外配角阵容太过豪华，山田裕贵、黑木华、奈绪、松重丰、山中崇、利利弗兰克、田中哲司，虽然也并非每个都是演技派，但无疑在本片中都很恰如其份，简单地说，很适合各自的角色，可以打个75分。

本来想给三星，但是因为父亲那个角色给了四星，全片最让我动容的不是和人和茉莉的爱情，而是茉莉哭着和妈妈抱在一起说“我不想死”，然后父亲在旁边强忍着泪水，完美诠释了“父亲”的含义
看完之后我觉得我比想象中 更留恋这个世界吧…… 但即使被超级坚定的选择我还是会躲起来 因为…因为不想让你再成为一个人😿 我还是希望生命是有限的 一是活着太累了 二是有限才会更珍贵吧 没有哭很多可能是眼泪给到了别处 “只是短暂的爱过 也因为你而幸福”
剧情已经很老套路了。
有幸在艺联冬暖深圳影展上看到了这一部《向着明亮那方》，七个温暖治愈的小故事，在冬天看真的是非常合适了，温暖，甜美，治愈。
绝症题材明知拍不出来什么花样了，但每次看还是会哭的稀里哗啦。nana在这里演得蛮好的，故事是在平淡当中慢慢打动我的。
日本那么多死人纯爱，这部实在是一般啊，nana演技倒是有进步，不过也就是够用的水平，坂口帅哥毫无进步啊
坂口需要什么演技？他就乖乖地站在那里不说话，感觉都像谈了一场甜甜的恋爱…谁能忍住不和坂口谈恋爱？女主😂

很温暖的动画片，适合全家一起看，没有说教意味，但又能让孩子感受到一些温暖的正向的东西。
