The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 经过了《东方快车谋杀案》，这部同样因在国人心中具有地位的上译经典，竟然可以拍的比前者更糟糕。与前一部一样具有豪华的演员阵容，更有超英女神盖尔·加朵加盟。很难想象如此优秀的小说改编的剧本，更有珠玉在前的样本，如何能拍的更差？本片做到了。作为一个悬疑犯罪片，大量的前期铺垫众多的出场人物，一直拖到进度条过半，案件才开始。一顿询问之后，就破案了，推理在哪里？对于“爱”的主题倒是贯穿始末，但是相比《东方》里的人性与复仇，本片只突出了爱，却没有把贪婪诠释的很好。前作的缺点本作更明显，本身就缓慢的节奏还加入了大量的空镜，还不是尼罗河的风景，比较烧钱的CG只突出了埃及的打卡景点和莫名其妙的CG动物。部分风景和CG还有抠图感。上船之前在三角关系上笔墨过重，即使是第一次看这个故事，也会下意识的被“剧透”。
挺好的，感觉到的动作戏很用心的在做了。谢苗真的不会老的吗

比《东方快车谋杀案》好看一点点。但是还是自恋加弱化推理。加了点时下流行的元素，很美的风景。然后全围着爱情转。
节奏真的没有一丝悬疑的氛围感。家访阶段就很让人迷离。神奇女侠就很emmmmmm，全片总结就是风景挺好看的

比想象中好点 一开始我以为是"it's always the husband”结果是“romeo and juliet” 正如艾米锤的career一样已经被打死了🚬推理略弱 片头的一战戏我觉得啃泥爵非常适合拍war film
还是可以看的网大，只是罪案的恶劣程度、破案的艰难程度都不能有更大的想法了，结尾的花絮模仿了成龙
还改了对女同性恋出来，全场哗然笑死，而且竟然还过审了没被删，对比一下前几天《老友记》真挺让人诧异的。
《导火线》的大陆版，在网大里算是不错了。可惜了谢苗，能力啥的真不差，就是没资源。

故事设定很精妙，但是最后靠一个褪色的手帕定罪？还有怎么知道是表哥推的石头？前一个小时节奏有些拖拉。

推理为骨，爱情为肉，风光为皮，政治正确是流满全身的血液。拍摄于疫情前的顶级娱乐片，大银幕看风光尤其沁人心脾，疫情后很难想象我们还曾有那样的黄金而乐观的时代（怎么感觉像是一战后了）

几年前看到谢苗释小龙秦鹏飞聚会，讲要做年轻人的动作电影。到如今初见成果，惊喜诚然。谢苗同学也迎来了自己网大生涯的最优秀作品，有些拨开云雾终见日出的意味。电影底色正，不浮夸。主线剧情，还是动作戏，都有所依托，未有脱离现实边际的编造感与过度失真。狭窄空间里动作戏设计精彩十分，巧心不匠气。足见秦鹏飞才华与情商。而演员演出又都认真，连彩蛋都温馨感十足，可见一个真正有所创作的快乐团队。希望能有续作，未来有更广阔平台。
肯尼迪布拉纳能不能不要再毁阿加莎了？！这一部比上一部东方沉闷上稍微好点，可是选角上有大问题，没一个角色是对的！
一星给女神，一星给还算反转的结局，一星给尼罗河绝美的风光和无与伦比的金字塔。破案过程真心太仓促了，听说以前的一版很不错
密西西比上的惨案（❌）这片改名叫《赫克利波罗的失败》算了，上一次看到这种要救的都没救下来还把自己老婆本赔上的侦探还是夏洛克福尔摩斯（？？？？？ 最后还是只有百合存活的世界达成了。且不说这选角造成的富婆果然瞎了的感觉更明显了，侦探自己的部分有啥意义？？？？对天放枪我以为我看尼罗河上的李云龙啊？？？？？真是狗屁不通的融合人物毫无意义好吗。
一个做好后拖了两年的电影。实景搞得像动画，人物高清大脸，背景虚化到几乎看不清，这是国产偶像剧的画风。怎么会有如此适合艾米汉莫的人设。
