The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 我不想看懂，作为恐怖片是十分的不好看！整个电影的节奏稀碎。后面是丧尸吗？干啥呢那是，比谁嗓门儿大嘛吗？

不错的 一直害怕后面会崩 但还维持的挺不错 是那种会推荐给别人看的爱情轻喜剧 适合在放松休息时想看个恋爱片的情景看 6、7分吧 尤其在我看了好几部爱情烂片之后 这片真的感觉不错 编剧编的误会冲突等等都还算合理 除了没屋子必须住一间这个梗偶像剧里哈哈真的太常见了 台词也还不错 欢喜冤家虽然老套但用点心编还是会让人百看不厌 男女主身高差和打嘴炮火花十足啊 达西真的是完美伴侣啊 又被cue到了 男主演绎的这个强迫症性格加上他的身材 显得他很hot
很典型的爱情轻喜剧，很久没看这样的片子了。剧情也很典型，看似死对头，其实互有好感，还是竞争对手，最后团团圆圆。但是男主有些莫名其妙，几次突然转身有些不可理解，一句都是以前被人一夜情也没说服力。
当你以为所谓桥段都非常老套之际，居然出现了反向驱神！让我震惊在于编剧的巧妙！所有驱魔题材都是牧师驱赶恶魔，唯独这个恶魔驱赶神灵，相近的祷告，相近的仪式，唯独不同就是恶魔赢了

恶魔带着静电所以当他附身时被附身的人会炸毛。梵蒂冈游人都戴着口罩就感觉确实是这段时间的电影

没有养分生涩的纯傻恋片。男主帅以外，没有任何看点。
中文译名严重误导，应为《驱神》而非《驱魔》，idea非常有新意多给一颗星。可惜拍的不及格，又廉价低级又假，看着像一群蠢货装s\b。从情节上说恶魔能力明显不够，只能附身一群人变丧尸袭击神父，神父自己银乱却推卸责任给恶魔，上帝袭击人类后依然要求人类敬畏祂，能做的也就派小弟继续附身人类。只有最后反转以及最后一句台词surprising，与“地狱空荡荡，恶魔在人间”有异曲同工之妙。
除了恶魔和上帝可以互相驱除这个有点意思以外，其他都是很套路的恐怖片，突然袭击的吓人，互相对喷的怒吼。也就看个热闹吧。
扯犊子，这么一个被上帝附身的牧师，连续嘴炮battle都没输，魔鬼一谈条件就同意了。。。我来教教这个牧师，成年人是不做选择的，都要好吗？
