剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it?     好处是对于Charcot内部和当时精神病治疗手段的呈现，非常鲜明和仔细地拍出了当时种种精神治疗史上的荒唐和黑暗，男性凝视下的“疯女人”自古有之且绵延至今，这是压迫和驯化的极端表现之一。但同样的，本片元素也未免塞得太多太杂了，灵异削弱了现实，对男权进行背景化处理的结果就是过于脸谱，虽充满力度，但控诉内容的表现则有些浅白，剧本再打磨一下会更好吧。

    This one is quite a mix of thrills and spills and twists and turns. The moral of this movie: don’t invest too much in other people’s lives because grass isn’t always greener on the other side and sometimes the other side might claim your life. And always pull the damn curtains!
