The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 恬淡闲散的叙事表达和影像风格，搭配狗血怪异的故事。一种淡淡的诡异的美，形成独特的电影风格，能够令人记住。挺好的。
电影确实很克制，即使是对他阴影的描绘也是将寓言贴近自然主义。自默尔索之后，我们再也不会怀疑对母亲的死表现得看似无动于衷的人的感情，但这些人的行迹依然吸引别人的目光。仿佛人们还在期待着些什么。

不光剧中人物不明白发生了什么，看电影的人也不明白发生了什么，可能只有导演自己明白。

感觉咋咋呼呼的场景切换和开枪的背后衬托的还是无聊而平庸的打发时间的看后即忘的一部电影。
颓废痞子气犹在，可令人伤感的是Tim Roth也不在年轻。
