The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 整个片子确实很温柔，调性处理得很舒服，但很抱歉，我看不进去这个故事。而且，找不到理由看进去这个人物的塑造。
乔治克鲁尼早期导的片子有几部还有点意思，后期越来越平庸，言之无物。

观感还可以，韩国人拍警察电影确实比较擅长，描绘人物、剖析社会内涵都还不错。
故事的宿命感被松散的剪辑打破，演员的个人魅力超越文本本身的吸引。

作为单亲家庭，挺能共情的，主角比我幸运，有一个神级舅舅。不过话说回来，就算不是单亲，谁又不想要一个开着间叫“狄更斯”酒吧的舅舅呢？当然了，后面的一些剧情真的太过一般，被一个女人耍的团团转，还宣扬了一番过时的美国梦。至少前半段真的很棒。

整部电影的主题感觉没有很明确，父亲的缺失这一主线没有贯彻的很好，但这绝对是最能展现本·阿弗莱克魅力的电影，满足了所有人幻想中的舅舅形象.
