The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 为了把一部短篇小说拉长到一部电影强行加入各种毫无必要的剧情和角色。本来跨越生死，五人合一的剧情可以很感人很热血，偏要拍成jump scare遍地的廉价鬼片。
Boys help boys. 流水账电影。基本没啥细节，反派背景都没交代清楚。
节奏有一点怪，但是成长啊，友情啊，和妹妹乃至和父亲的亲情小细节都让人有一点感动，惊悚不浓但是到位。
中段开始就毫无悬念了。这片要是能像暗黑那样，比如凶手就是主角自己，或者几个孩子被绑到不同时空去，再叠加电话和不同年龄的声音，可能会更有意思些。

不至于那么低，一个酗酒家暴的懦弱父亲。两个勇敢的孩子，经历绑架后，他们找到了自信，真的保护了自己。但是中间一些突如其来的吓人真的没啥必要哈哈哈哈哈。
