The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 剧本台词非常丝滑，不会写台词的人表示羡慕。难得碰到部男主原生家庭没有问题自己也长好了的，母子关系正常又融洽，像刚成年版《成长的烦恼》，没啥野心完成度挺好的治愈小品。
